At Omorovicza, we believe that wellness goes beyond its traditional notions. To us, wellness can also mean stimulating your mind, taking care of your mental health and experiencing or learning new things. Success is a journey, not a destination, and unlocking beauty can happen in many ways. 

To celebrate Wellness Month this August, we asked our team about their “Just One Thing” - the one thing they do to brighten their day, calm their mind or simply find joy and beauty in the everyday – because sometimes, it's the little things that make the biggest difference. Just One Change is all about embracing small, intentional actions that can lead to significant improvements in our overall wellbeing.

What is the one thing you do to calm your mind? 

“Meditation. It’s something you can do anytime, anywhere to calm your mind.” 

What is the one thing you do when you need a boost of confidence?   

“Exercising never fails to improve my mood and confidence.” 

What is the one recipe you go to that never fails to delight?   

"I am a big believer in something I call ‘realistic wellness. Being a busy mother of four children still in the house, I have never been one to turn down a chocolate chip cookie - but at the same time, feel my energy depleted when I eat too much heavy food - so it’s about finding a realistic balance. These days, my go to healthy lunch recipe is a cold cucumber soup and a cobb salad. The soup on the lighter side as it uses yoghurt, and the tarragon gives it an unexpected, delicious kick. I also love that I can make a lot of this and keep it in the refrigerator.”

What is the one wellness goal you're currently working towards, and what steps are you taking to achieve it?  

“I am trying to exercise every day. When I have time (and ambition) I go for a run or play some tennis. If I am short on time (and ambition) I will simply do a seven-minute workout. Even just doing something for a few minutes puts my mind in a good spot to take on the day.” 

If you were going to give a friend just one Omorovicza product – which one would it be and why?  

“I always give friends our Rejuvenating Night Cream. It is amazing.”

What is the one thing you do to calm your mind?   

"For me calming the mind is like preparing a canvas for creation, immersing myself in the process of drawing or painting without a specific goal in mind. Letting my hands move freely, allowing colours and shapes to flow."

What is the one thing you do when you need a boost of confidence?  

"I revisit my past work, especially the pieces I'm particularly proud of. It’s like reconnecting with the essence of what I’m capable of creating. Seeing the journey of how a blank page transformed into something meaningful reminds me of my creation power. It’s a way of telling myself, “You’ve done this before, and you can do it again.” 

What is the one recipe you go to that never fails to delight?   

"My delight for the soul - I love taking time for myself and getting lost in art exhibitions around the city. Whether it’s admiring the timeless masterpieces of old artists or exploring the innovative works of new talents. These experiences never fail to inspire and uplift me, offering a fresh perspective and a sense of wonder every time."

What is the one wellness goal you're currently working towards, and what steps are you taking to achieve it?  

"My current wellness goal is to cultivate a deeper connection between mind and body through movement. I’m approaching it like a creative piece, where each day is an opportunity to explore and express. I’ve been integrating practices like yoga and music, where I can move intuitively and let my body guide me."

"I also keep a wellness journal, sketching out how I feel before and after each session. I’ve committed to making this ritual a non-negotiable part of my day. It’s a blend of art and selfcare that fuels both my well-being and my creativity."

If you were going to give a friend just one Omorovicza product – which one would it be and why?  

"The Miracle Facial Oil, without a doubt. I love a bougie facial oil, and the Omorovicza Miracle Facial Oil is my latest indulgence. Living in a city, my skin is constantly exposed to environmental stressors, and this oil is a game-changer. What is the one thing you do to calm your mind?   

“I struggle to relax, so have created a bit of an evening ritual to calm all my senses. I light a scented candle, put on soothing lighting, drink some lavender tea, have a nourishing snack and watch or listen to something comforting every night.”

What is the one recipe you go to that never fails to delight?  

"Ratatouille! My grandma taught me to make it when I was little and it’s such a great heartwarming, comfort meal. I serve it with some goat’s cheese or as a really popular side for literally any dinner party. Plus, it's great for vegetarians and vegans too."

What is the one wellness goal you're currently working towards, and what steps are you taking to achieve it?  

"I’m trying to read more, so I’ve given my headphones a rest on the commute. Instead, I'm finally reading some of the books that have been recommended to me."

If you were going to give a friend just one Omorovicza product – which one would it be and why?  

"I have given all my close friends a Queen of Hungary Mist, as they were always asking me about my magic mist! I also love to gift treatments, so Copper Peel is my go to. It’s great for an at-home facial and feels like a real treat. You see a difference straight away and get so many uses from it."

What is the one thing you do to calm your mind?  

"I go for a walk - rain, or shine. A few minutes of fresh air and movement is so calming, like a total body and mind reset. When I have the chance to walk a new route or I notice something I’ve never seen before, it’s a bonus!"

What is the one thing you do when you need a boost of confidence?   

"I try to give myself space to have some doubts and negative feelings now and then, but instead of focusing on those feelings I try to focus on the fact that everything is temporary and it’s okay not to feel your most confident all the time. Before I know it, I’m back to feeling my best."

What is the one recipe you go to that never fails to delight?   

"Whisk together equal parts Greek yogurt and aioli/mayo, about ½ cup each (sorry to my mayo-ick friends!), pinch of salt, crushed clove of garlic, and juice of a whole lemon. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. Everything it touches is delicious, from salad or crudité to a pita sandwich or something off the grill."

What is the one wellness goal you're currently working towards, and what steps are you taking to achieve it?  

"I’m a new-ish mom, my toddler is almost 2 – I don’t think people talk enough about how much it can change you mentally and physically (down to your DNA!) to have a child. Almost 2 years in and I’m still working towards my post-baby strength and wellness goals. I think we should normalize that journey being slow and steady instead of pressuring new mom’s to “get back to normal” within weeks or months. I personally focus on getting a lot of protein rich foods and veggies or fruit with every meal. Slowly but surely, I’ve built my strength back through time spent with a physical therapist early on as well as Pilates, lots of walking and recently I’m even back to running and rowing now and then."

If you were going to give a friend just one Omorovicza product – which one would it be and why? 

I genuinely think the Rejuvenating Night Cream is one of the best night creams on the market today. I know anyone I gift it to will have great results regardless of their skin type, so that’s a go-to. My runner up is the Queen Serum. I use them both daily!

What is the one thing you do to calm your mind?   

"When my mind feels overloaded, I read - usually something from my sappy rom-com collection (Emily Henry's books always hit the spot!). I find that reading distracts my brain enough to keep the racing thoughts at bay."

What is the one thing you do when you need a boost of confidence?  

"I never thought I'd be one to say this, but going to the gym has really helped me get out of a confidence slump. Something about challenging myself and pushing myself to my limits makes me feel 100x more confident physically and mentally for the rest of the day."

What is the one recipe you go to that never fails to delight?   

"Unfortunately, I can't cook to save my life but my friends say I can make one mean Matcha latte. Oat milk (I usually fill up ¾ of a glass), Matcha powder (I use Matchaeologist's Meiko matcha whisked with a splash of warm water), a dollop of sugar-free vanilla syrup and lots of cubed ice - easy but delicious."

What is the one wellness goal you're currently working towards, and what steps are you taking to achieve it?  

"Morning sunlight! At the moment I am trying to get 10 minutes of sunlight every morning before 9am. According to the Huberman Lab podcast, it helps with metabolic wellbeing and steering your mental health in the right direction. Instead of having my morning matcha in bed, I've taken to cosying up in my robe and enjoying it on the balcony."  

If you were going to give a friend just one Omorovicza product – which one would it be and why?  

"Definitely the Budapest Bath Salts! Taking time out of my day to pamper myself is a must, and I would love for my friends to do the same. I couldn't think of anything better than to give them the gift of relaxation. I love everything about these salts, from the aromatic spa-like scent of them to the way they leave my skin feeling silky-smooth and hydrated."

What is the one thing you do to calm your mind?   

"Watching the sunset, ideally from the hot tub. love watching the last of the setting sun and the first minutes of darkness when the sky still has quirky and dramatic colours. Watching that final 15-20 minutes of the day calms me and helps me let go of any tensions that have built up."

What is the one thing you do when you need a boost of confidence?    

"Putting on my favourite red lipstick!" 

What is the one recipe you go to that never fails to delight?     

"I love making blackberry and apple jam, as it has great childhood memories for me. I also like to add a dash of crème de cassis, which gives a kick to the jam and brings out the flavours."

What is the one wellness goal you're currently working towards, and what steps are you taking to achieve it?  

"One my favourite lines in Freaky Friday is when Jamie Lee Curtis goes "Oh – I’m so stiff!!!" It's too easy for this to happen, so I am trying to be less stiff. This summer I have been swimming, and I just got a new yoga app that I have to use more often!!"

  

If you were going to give a friend just one Omorovicza product – which one would it be and why?  

"This one is difficult, as I tend to recommend a few to friends - but if I had to pick just one, I would pick the Gold Hydralifting Mask. It's an amazing mask that really does it for your skin. You don’t have to just use it as a quick treatment mask, you can leave it on overnight for a really hydrated feel in the morning.  It really is the most amazing product."
